Support an existing project to plant and/or maintain trees, including event planning and execution, volunteer management, and community building.
Trees & Arboriculture
Teach the skills needed to plant and care for trees, provide education on how to identify tree species and how trees can benefit environmental and human health in association with certified arborists and related experts. Develop skills in creating educational and training materials.
Mapping & Computation Technology
Develop the skills to use advanced web-based mapping technology in mapping and calculation of environmental benefits.
Assist in editing and updating documents, contacts, and responses to inquiries, and in tracking inventory — critical elements of successfully managing a non-profit organization and stakeholder involvement.
Assist, promote, and improve TreeSD’s Membership Program while learning important principles and methods of fund-raising.
Assist professionals experienced in grant writing to produce proposals and research new grant opportunities.
Marketing & Social media
Assist in creating marketing material; update and edit TreeSD website as needed, post on various TSD social media outlets – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter; help represent TreeSD at various events — all necessary outreach for a successful non-profit organization.
