Who can be a Tree Steward?
Anyone! However, children under 17 will need adult supervision.
What will I learn?
Tree Stewards are trained and certified in various skills that they can use to preserve and enhance their neighborhood trees. When you become a Tree Steward, you are joining other San Diegans who are using their skills and knowledge for the betterment of their community.
When does the training take place?
Tree Steward workshops are typically offered the 3rd Saturday bimonthly from 10 am - 12 pm.
What does it mean to be a Tree Steward?
A Tree Steward is a volunteer who has completed the Tree San Diego Tree Steward Certification Program.
What kind of skills does this mean?

We suggest a recommended donation of $15.
What can I do as a Tree Steward?
Depending on capacity and interests, Tree Stewards may provide new tree care (especially watering), care for new street trees, weed and maintain berms of planted trees, and monitor trees for pests and other damage.
