About the event

The City of San Diego’s Urban Forestry Program is excited to launch Trees for Communities, a new tree planting initiative aimed at creating greener, healthier neighborhoods. This project prioritizes historically underserved communities and focuses on expanding the urban forest. San Diego Resident Tree Steward Workshops are offered in partnership with the City of San Diego and Tree San Diego to provide residents with training about tree planting best practices and care as well as information about local urban forestry programs.

Join us for an interactive workshop led by local ISA-certified arborists where you’ll learn about:

  • Existing Urban Forestry Programs

  • Expanding Our Urban Forest

  • Tree Planting & Care

  • Benefits of Trees
