Join Tree San Diego’s Annual Plant-A-Thon
Tree San Diego’s Plant-A-Thon is an annual, pay-it-forward community event that brings people together each spring and fall to plant and distribute thousands of trees across San Diego County. Each season, volunteers, local leaders, partners, and environmental champions unite to transform streets, schools, parks, and neighborhoods through hands-on tree planting and free tree distributions. Together, we’re growing shade, improving air quality, cooling our communities, and investing in a healthier, more resilient future for generations to come.
A Pay-It-Forward Planting Movement
Tree San Diego's Plant-A-Thon is more than a single event; it’s a movement. Trees planted or received through this initiative are passed forward in impact: cooling homes, improving health outcomes, supporting biodiversity, and building shade equity in historically underserved communities.
