December 2025: Plantings Across San Diego County this year!
In 2025, Tree San Diego and our partners planted 2404 trees across San Diego County—expanding shade, cooling neighborhoods, and growing a more climate-resilient urban forest. Out of these, 1,045 trees were planted through our first-ever Plant-a-Thon , a 10-week campaign focused on bringing climate-resilient trees to communities that need them most. December 2025: Planting with IGR
Planting Roots, Sharing: IRG & Arbor Day Foundation Tree Event Tree San Diego collaborated with Indigenous Regeneration to host a powerful community planting and distribution event, made possible through the generous support of the Arbor Day Foundation . We distributed 200 fruit trees to residents—including Black Mission Fig, Galaxy Peach, Pomegranate, and Pineapple Guava—and planted 100 native trees (25 each of Coast Live Oak, Engelmann Oak, Torrey Pine, and Arizona Ash)


November 2025: Ross Elementary Tree Planting Recap
Tree San Diego recently partnered with Ross Elementary for a joyful planting day filled with community spirit, gratitude, and teamwork! With the help of six dedicated volunteers from a local VFW post, students, teachers, and Tree San Diego staff came together to plant five beautiful trees — including three Gold Medallion trees, one Red Push Pistache, and one Pink Trumpet tree. We’re thrilled to welcome four passionate and driven California Climate Action Corps Fellows to the Tree San Diego team for Fall 2025! Amari Henry, Jules Feldman, Lily Eckoff, and Olivia Heifetz will bring a unique background and a shared commitment to community climate resilience, urban forestry, and environmental justice.
