Join our passionate team at Tree San Diego as an intern and make a real impact on the environment and community! You'll collect and track tree data, assist with educational workshops, table at events, canvas in neighborhoods, conduct urban forestry research, aid with digital outreach, and map trees on ArcGIS and Tree Plotter databases. Is the internship paid?
Internships with Tree San Diego are volunteer opportunities that can be taken for course credit.
Is the internship in-person or virtual?
Hybrid. Our team typically meets virtually and completes projects remotely but there will be a number of in-person projects, plantings, and events.
What is the time commitment?
We expect interns to commit to 5-10 hours weekly.
Do I need to have advanced knowledge about trees?
No, all you need is an interest and a willingness to learn!
