Tree San Diego has been awarded an opportunity to begin research in urban forestry initiatives, thanks to the San Diego Foundation’s Blasker-Rose-Miah Endowment Fund. There is growing momentum behind the climate mitigation movement, and Tree San Diego is ready to support cities’ efforts to reduce greenhouse gases while striving for environmental justice. This project will evaluate urban forestry aspects of climate action plans throughout San Diego County. The program was made possible thanks to grant support from The San Diego Foundation. The foundation maximizes the impact of charitable giving by mobilizing philanthropic resources to advance quality of life, increase social impact, and champion civic engagement. What an exciting way to start the new year for Tree San Diego!
