December 2025: Plantings Across San Diego County this year!

In 2025, Tree San Diego and our partners planted 2404 trees across San Diego County—expanding shade, cooling neighborhoods, and growing a more climate-resilient urban forest. Out of these, 1,045 trees were planted through our first-ever Plant-a-Thon, a 10-week campaign focused on bringing climate-resilient trees to communities that need them most.

Our tree planting efforts this year were supported by some incredible partners, sponsors, and leaders from agencies like Indigenous Regeneration, City of La Mesa, San Diego Unified School District, Enterprise, Dexcom, and many more community groups and volunteers. Together, we’re turning hardscape into habitat and planting the roots of a greener future for all.

Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to plant and distribute thousands of trees—aiming to meet, if not double, 2025's impact as we continue to grow a greener, shadier, and healthier San Diego for all.
