Join Tree San Diego and the City of San Diego for a free, four-part hands-on program that equips you with the knowledge and tools to care for your local tree canopy. As part of the Ready, Set, Grow San Diego initiative, this series combines interactive education with real-world impact.
Whether you’re a budding tree steward or simply want to give back to your neighborhood, this ISA CEU-approved course will connect you with experts and peers who care about community greening just as much as you do.

Online Tree Stewardship Course September 6, 2025 at 10 AM (Zoom)
Dive into tree planting, care, and the environmental benefits of San Diego’s urban forestry efforts.
Tree Trek (Neighborhood Walk) September 20, 2025 at 10 AM Colina Del Sol Park
Learn tree ID and local programs from certified arborists as we walk the City Heights neighborhood.
Community Planting Day October 11, 2025 at 10 AM – Honey Dr., Bay Terraces
Get your hands in the soil as we plant trees in a Ready, Set, Grow census tract.
Graduation Tree Trek & Celebration November 8, 2025 at 10 AM – Balboa Park
Celebrate your growth and impact with a final trek and tree-centric celebration.
Note: Participants must attend all four sessions to complete the program and receive their Urban Forestry Swag Set!
