The Spring 2026 Treejectory+ cohort wrapped up at the start of April, with 65 participants completing Tree San Diego's paid workforce development program — gaining hands-on urban forestry training, GIS mapping skills, and career pathways led by ISA Certified Arborists. But the close of one cohort meant the launch of something new: a pilot module called Surf N' Turf, developed in partnership with O'Side Whales, exploring the connection between urban trees and ocean health. It's the kind of systems-level thinking that makes Treejectory+ more than a job training program; it's environmental education for the whole community.
