May 2025: Community Tree Plantings & Giveaways

Throughout April, Tree San Diego helped plant over 100 trees and distributed hundreds more across San Diego County! From our Bonsall Berry Farm event, where 250 trees were given away and 30 fruit trees planted, to school plantings at Encanto Elementary and Chollas-Mead Elementary, we expanded the canopy while engaging students and residents alike. Arbor Day brought two major celebrations: at Colina Del Sol Park in San Diego, where over 60 trees were planted and a special tribute honored our arborist Chuck Morgan; and in Chula Vista, where we partnered with the city to plant Golden Rain trees and launch an ongoing planting collaboration.
